Been considering this car... A little frightened of the Active Suspensions's potential maintenance costs and the angle gear issue, but the sound of that inline 5 is sooo addicting. Like a little turbo sleeper-wagon Lamborghini.

There's one on campus in black. Every time I ride by it, I almost crash my bike from rubbernecking.

you are the first person I've ever heard say the girltronic was better, the 04-05 5spd autos were so weak they had to torque limit first and second gear

keep it maintained and it shouldn't be an issue. I'm shooting for an S60R, I test drove an 04 and absolutely LOVED it.

I have an '04 S60R. The torque limited really isn't required. Mines been removed for a while now with no issues at all. So the tranny isn't as weak as originally thought.

My R's suspension has been fine even on NY roads. Endlinks every few years but no real worries. And angle gear? PSSH weld it!

I didnt think it was possible to remove the torque limiting with the tuner

If you start tuning...and doing some upgrades the tranny on the manual cant handle it.
Go to swedespeed.com pretty big 60/70R following.
PS you get the dual exhaust put on your V70R? it fits and sounds great.

Yupp, I have an ARD tune on mine and had it removed. That and I have a different map per each of the active chassis settings. Works great.
